Coordinates maintenance and operations requirements to ensure optimum plant availability and to maximize plant operation efficiency, flexibility, reliability and safety.

Job Responsibilities

  • Reviews and advises on maintenance strategies.
  • Determines and maintains resource requirements and ensures availability as required.
  • Reviews the performance and maintenance costs of the works of the Operations Department plant. And ensures that technical assistance is provided for equipment problems when necessary.
  • To Identify the priorities for maintenance work and ensure that maintenance is completed before the deadline.
  • Reviews reliability reports and coordinates requirements in liaison with Reliability Engineers.
  • To screen and approve all work requests and to ensure that they are clear and safe at that preliminary investigations have been undertaken to justify the request.
  • Confirms the priority of work requests and ensures equipment return dates are justified. Develop a periodic (i.e. two weeks) rolling plan and review and adjust it daily.

Education and skills

  • Diploma in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
  • At least 4 years experience in a major processing plant.
  • Familiar with international and UAE refinery industry standards and protocols.
  • Know about the Oil and Gas Industry
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build relationships with staff and contractors with a focus on collaboration.
  • Excellent organizational, management and planning skills
  • Strong decision-making ability
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to engage in technical discussions
  • Leadership and training experience
  • Knowledge of business applications including MAXIMO
  • Good verbal knowledge and written English. Knowledge of Arabic is preferable
