Job role

In this role, the candidate should be responsible for designing and overseeing the analysis of portfolio-wide commercial strategy and tactics using analytics and providing actionable insights to the Cargo Leadership to maximize revenue and generate profit for the division.

As part of this job role, your responsibilities will be inclusive of, but not limited to the following:

  • Set directions with a strategic approach and lead a profitable implementation across the network in collaboration with different departments.
  • Develop an in-depth analysis of the competitive landscape for Qatar Airways (QR) positioning, strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Network Planning (NP) and Revenue Management (RM) to incorporate network capacity analysis including expansion for new profitable destinations and increasing frequency on it.
  • Develop and promote best practices approaches for research, analytics and KPls.
  • Monitor and analyze QR Cargo route performance from a P&L perspective.
  • Share the insights with relevant stakeholders to make decisions and provide regular revenue updates to all key stakeholders of the market and business.
  • Identify areas of revenue leakage, and develop, and implement solutions to eliminate such leakages.
  • Ensure the confidentiality, security and protection of all information handled in the course of duties is maintained at all times from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, deletion/destruction, corruption, modification, inspection or recording.

Education qualification and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and minimum 8 years of job-related experience in managing business insights.
  • Strong data analytical skills with the ability to make recommendations and good decisions.
  • The candidate should be an excellent problem solver with advanced knowledge of project management as well as stakeholder management.
  • Should have a strong knowledge of data analytical tools.
  • Candidate should have excellent spoken and written English skills with strong negotiation, persuasion and influencing capabilities.
  • Candidate should be able to work with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams at all levels in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Experience and ability to delegate work set clear direction, and manage workflow with strong mentoring and coaching skills.
